In August of 2002 we took him to the Eastern Arabian Horse Show. This is the biggest deal of a show he has ever been to. He did better than we thought this ex-racehorse would do. The judge apparently loved his elegance and grace, bringing him a first place and Champion. He was absolutely perfect in all of the classes he was in. We were extremely proud of him.

Cassie & *Paradoks+ in their Native Costume*

*Paradoks+ loves his Native Costume. He thinks that it is a big fancy blanket. We are not very competitive in this class. We just thought it would be a fun thing to do. Cassie has always wanted one of those costumes. He has done very well in it. He even won his class at the first "A" show we ever did with a native costume. They have a ton of fun in it.

*Paradoks+ and Cassie had a fantastic year together in 2001.We realized that jumping was not going to be his preferred discipline (darn it!). Nevertheless, they really blossomed as a team in the Hunter Pleasure classes. With alot of great feedback from the judges, we decided to try his first Class A show at the end of 2001. The Keystone International Livestock Expo seemed the perfect place to debut. It was a great experience, being inside a coliseum like that, and *Paradoks handled it with aplomb. They won the Hunter Pleasure Limit class (out of 18 entries!), got seconds in AOTR and JTR (with 13 & 18 entries respectively) and were awarded Reserve Champion out of 21 in the Championship Class!!

Thanks to their great show years, *Paradoks+ and Cassie were named BRAHA Purebred Hunter Pleasure Champion and won the "MTA Annies Jett Frost" Perpetual Trophy for high point Hunter Pleasure Junior Rider in 2001, 2002, and 2003!!!

*Paradoks+ even won several Liberty classes, his theme song being Bon Jovi's "It's My Life." He stays so turned on until the music ends, then he stops and snorts every time he's done. He has won Liberty seven out of the eight times he has done it.

This success is made all the more rewarding by the fact that *Paradoks+ was a racehorse until we bought him in January, 2000. Cassie has trained him entirely by herself. He's a sweet, happy boy and they have a terrific bond between them.
